Where is my realtek high definition microphone located?

im pretty sure its and internal mic in my laptop because it says its working. i have a toshiba laptop. the mic is not hearing me so can someone tell me where its located or how to get it to work.

open up windows sound recorder and talk, try different places, i am sure it as to be somewhere by the screen, go to edit audio properties and on sound recording option pick your on board sound device. open up the sound manager window by clicking on volume and turn it up, try the microphone slide bar and the line in, could be either one.

My dad has a toshiba with the same mic... i believe it is next to the webcam.
