  1. This question makes no sense at all.

    There are lots of oil wells in Texas.  Most are off the coast in the Gulf of Mexico, or in far East Texas or far West Texas.


  2. It's under the ground, so owning land does not mean you own any oil.  What's under the ground is called "mineral rights" and if there's any chance of their being oil in a place, the mineral rights have probably already been sold to investors.

  3. There is oil all over the place. Unfortunately for us, the Democrats will not let us drill for it.

    Some of Texas' oil is actually under water, in the Gulf of Mexico. Offshore of Texas, Louisiana and Mississippi oil companies dig holes under hundreds of feet of water and then go several thousand feet lower.
