Just quit watching CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and NBC and you will be fine. You are watching too much of the left wing liberal bias news reporting. Well, not really news but comments that are pro Democrat.

The U.S. Congress has nothing to do with the actual, everyday running of the country. The President doesn't either, actually. It's the various secretaries and deputy secretaries and all the other thousands of bureaucrats that keep the Federal govt. running. Remember also that the Federal govt. is just one level of govt in the US. There are still all the states, counties, parishes, and cities.

They couldn't do anything about Georgia, they only speak money and Putin doesn't seem to listen.

So, it's best they stay out of Washington and not mess anything else up.

The democrats (Nancy Pelosi actually) called for summer vacation. Bush had to go to the olympics because it would be like not showing up for the funeral of another world leader, that would be concidered rude.
