"The Bear Trap" is located on the Champions Course at PGA National. Created by Jack Nicklaus, hence the name, the bear trap is a fearsome three hole stretch on the back nine, taking in the 15th, 16th and 17th holes with doglegs, water, bunkers - when Nicklaus returned to toughen up the rest of the course, he decided the Bear Trap didn't need any further toughening, so demanding are its requirements.
