The action takes place in the lagoon of Aitutaki, the un-inhabited islands of Moturakau (Sharks) and Rapota (Tigers).

Aitutaki is only 45 minutes by plane from the main island of Rarotonga in the Cook Islands and flights operate daily except Sundays from Rarotonga to this breathtaking paradise.

The American series Survivor is also filmed there.

Polynesians probably first settled in Aitutaki around AD 900. The first known European contact was with Captain Bligh and the crew of the "HMS Bounty" when they discovered Aitutaki on April 11, 1789, prior to the infamous mutiny.
