  1. Its a town in Oklahoma.

    A tower that holds grain.

And an underground location of missiles.

  2. I thought it was shilo or something like that and it was in some movie but cant remember which one but I would not be suprised if I'm wrong

  3. Maybe it's spelt 'Shiloh'?

    I found this on wikipedia:

  4. A silo can be a structure for storing many agricultural products like wheat and sugar.

A missile silo is a similar object but it stores missiles underground until a hatch at the top opens for them to be released.

Silo is also the name of one of the g*y penguins (Roy was the other) at New York Zoo who raised a penguin chick together.

The only reference I could find to a town called Silo was in Byran County Oklahoma.  It has a population of 290.

  5. A silo  is a storage tower for grain, cement or missiles. The cowboy town is Shilo.

  6. A storage facility that can be used for grain or silage (feed products). Tall structures are frequently used but originally they where short and squat with a weighted cover. Tall ones use the weight of the stored material upon itself frequently to preserve the contents as opposed to a weighted cover. Frequently silage can be mixtures of material and if often moist and this is protected almost like canning the way the weight keeps the material inside from the environment. Works well with green material and cattle "accept" it, esp in the winter.
