Where is teh best place to buy magic the gathering cards

i need the best/cheapest place to buy magic cards. i live in southern Indiana. it can be online or in a shop.

I would search for card shops.  They tend to be so much cheaper and tend to have the cards you need.  If you cannot find a decent source then give ebay a try.  I saw someone sell a booster set for $50 free shipping.

I do most of my shopping for magic cards online, becuase i've always found it to be cheaper, even with shipping.

If you are buying a lot of cards, packs, or boxes, I would recommend www.cardkingdom.com or starcitygames to start.  New boosters are two fifty each (some stores charge up to four) and if you want singles, these two online places carry everything.

If you want four of a particular card, ebay isn't a bad way to go.  Whenever I've bought cards from ebay, it has ended up being chepaer than cardkingdom or starcitygames.  The downside of course, is that auctions are always up in the air.

The ABSOLUTE chepaset palce that i've discovered to find magic cards is actually called www.findmagiccards.com  This site will whow a graph with the card value over the last several years, and it will have links for places the carry that card, as well as tell you how much each place will charge you, and how many they have in stock.  This has saved me tons of money.  The only downside is that some of the sites have a minimum dollar amount, so if you want one card that's going for two dollars, that won't work for all  of the sites that findmagiccards will link you to.

I have played magic since 1996 and grew up on the stuff!  I am also from Southern Indiana.  As far as card shops go they typically charge retail for the packs and this can be a bit steep.  Card shops in the area are somewhat scarce, location and singles.  If you want the most bang for your buck go to conventions/events, Indy is good, the dealers there are better.  Online is your best bet, either buy singles or collections on ebay, or go to online sellers and buy singles or packs in bulk, by the box.  I have found that as long as you are not buying the most expensive rares, buying single cards is your best bet.  Where you from, where you play?  I might see you around.... currently live in Spencer county, used to live in Evansville.....
