Question:

Where is the $1?

I owe A and B $50 each, I bought a T-shirt for $97 so I have a changed of $3. I returned the $ 2 to A & B (each of them recieve $1). The $1 remains in my pocket. Therefore I owe A & B $49 each (total of $98 if I add my $1 in my pocket it will be sum up with $99) I just wonder where is the other $1 to have a total of $100 as my original money.

  1. Of your original $100

You paid $97 for the t-shirt

    You paid A and B each $1

You have $1 in your pocket

That's $100, and where it went. There isn't any missing dollar.

What you still owe A and B has nothing whatsoever to do with your original $100.  What if you had owed them each a million dollars to start?  Or only one dollar each?  Do the math on that

  2. You're adding when you should be subtracting.

(total of $98 if I add my $1 in my pocket it will be sum up with $99)

No, you OWE them $98, if you give them the $1 in your pocket, you'll OWE them $97 NOT $99. If you give them your overpriced $97 Abercrombie & Fitch T-shirt, you owe them nothing.

Your sentence above basically says: -98 + 1 = -99 which is not correct.

  3. Find it your self

  4. The sum won't be $99.  You still owe them a total of $98.  The fact that you have a dollar in your pocket does not change that.

Not sure where you found a $97 t-shirt, but you bought it, paid 2 and had 1 left.  That equals 100.

  5. THE $1 is straight up in your a*****e man, Check now

  6. You owe them a total of $98, yes, but that has nothing to do with anything.

The original $100 you had in your pocket went as follows: $97 for the shirt, $1 to A, $1 to B, and $1 back in your pocket. Total: $100.
