under driverside dash. near your knee when your seated in the vehicle. on 96 and newer vehicles its mandatory it is in that area

get down on your knees just under the steering wheel you will see a black connector

Under the driver's dash on the left side. They can be hard to spot sometimes. You may have to get down on your hands and knees and stick your head up under there to see it.
