  1. it is in the valve body located inside the transmission

  2. It's inside the transmission- valve body to be specific. If you aren't a trained transmission repairer- you'd be best to NOT attempt to replace it. Find a reputable shop, they should be able to do it for you. It'll cost you FAR less than if you attempt & fail!

  3. What you really need to do is take the car to the dealer repair shop, or a very well qualified independent shop. The dealer would be the preferred, they have much more experience with them, and know your car in and out since that's all they work on every day. Where an independent shop doesn't have as much experience on any specific vehicle since they work on everything. Labor prices are usually competitive between the dealership repair center, and a good independent shop.

Doing this could save you loads of money over a shop repairing or replacing something that doesn't need to be, or throwing different parts at it to try to fix it.

Contrary to what these other guys are telling you, solenoid B is located in the solenoid pack assembly, which contains all the shift solenoids. It is EXTERNAL on the transmission, not inside the transmission. It's on the left side of the transmission (the side towards the front of the vehicle) see this photo: http://members.cox.net/markeb71/trans.jp...

But before you go and spend around $225 to buy a new solenoid pack, get it properly diagnosed.

Even if they did pull codes and got the P0755 (which is the code for solenoid B malfunction), it could be something else causing the specific problem to trigger the code.

That's where the experience and expertise of the dealership technicians come in, they'll know what to look for since they've seen it before. The independent shop hasn't seen as many of the same vehicle to know little quirks and things that seem odd that can cause other problems.
