Where is the USA's economy going?

Is the economy going to keep getting worse? Should it get better?

As far as i can see.. it's pretty stagnate. Once we get (you know who) out of office, i hope the economy will slowly generate itself back on track. With the way things are now like..gas prices..this forever draged out war..etc. It'll take years before we'll notice anything, by that time i'll be to old to care.

Economic indicators are mixed -but the dollar is stronger.  We haven't had a real recession (2 quarters or more of contracting) - this is just a blip...but for those who haven't seen a real recession, it must have been scary.

Having been through the recession of 2000/2001, this barely bothered me. But for the most part, the worst is over. The dollar is improving again, costs of commodities are down again, and crude oil has been dropping steadily (resulting in gas being under $4/gallon national average).
