Try out Bourbon BBQ on Colfax. Or, give Frank's BBQ, on 6th and Washington, a try. Franks is a bit more "mainstream"... I've noticed cops eat there a lot, though, and that tends to be a good indicator for decent, fast BBQ food.

Bourbon BBQ is very much so a manly hang out - great stuff, you'll go away messy but happy.

There's a place in Longmont called the Rib House that I love.  A bit of a drive I know but it's worth it, especially if you happen to be up in that area for any reason.

Burbon BBQ just west of Colfax and Race is way good. Also Famous Daves BBQ in the North Field shopping centre is good.

My personal favorite is Piggin' Out on 9987 Morrison Road. They have amazing smoked meats and a nice variety of sauces. They do mostly take-out. Well worth the drive.

Another good bet is M&D's Restaurant at 2000 East 28th. Real down home Southern cooking and some seriously spicy sauce. It has ups and downs, but when it's good - WOW!
