Where is the best (and affordable) places to go shopping in Bellingham, WA, USA?

My friends and I are going there for a shopping trip, and I have never been there before. I don't really know many places to go shopping. Help!?

Are people really incapable of understanding the difference between Washington state and Washington, DC? Unbelievable.

Well, it would help if you didn't ask in Washington, DC, which is a lot different from Washington State.

I, too, am stunned that so many people cannot tell the difference.

The Tulalip Mall is not in Bellingham, but would be worth the drive (maybe 45 minutes)  it's an outlet mall with lots of great stores

i live here in bham. go downtown. depends what your looking for, but theres a couple really good consignment stores with awesome stuff. and some super cute shoe stores. its a pretty earthly place too. o..and theres the mall but thats not very fun. just go downtown and walk it.

You might want to stop at the campus store - Western Washington University - for some great back to school stuff.

If you're into saving money - check out the thrift stores.
