Where is the best beach to snorkel and swim on the Pacific Coast in Costa Rica?

Osa Peninsula in the far south.

I would add the area around Isla de Tortuga just off of the Nicoya Penninsula near Tambor and Montezuma to the list of Manuel Antonio and Corcovado (don't know about Ocatal)..   Its too bad you can't go to the Atlantic, the best snorkling on Costa Rica's mainland would be Cahuita in the dry season.

I think that every beach on the West coast of Costa Rica could claim that it is the best!

But I think that the Beach at the Manuel Antonio Nature Preserve/park/beach would be considered very excellent due to some of the near by small Jutting Islands or rock that come right up out of the Pacific and offers a diversity of underwater sights!

I actually found two small pieces of Jade in the waters there back in l995 and will be going there again this June to see if I can pick up some more for my Jade collection.

at quepos for the snorkeling and manuel antonio that is 10-15 mins away for swim. also at the corcovado park, there are dolphins and whales and drake bay is beside corcovado and the beach is amazing
