Where is the best city in France to go clubbing in?

Me and a couple of mates are going for 1 night, over by ferry to Calais, so it has to be within driving distance of there. We're thinking of doing Paris unless anyone knows anywhere better?

Would also like some suggestions for good bars/clubs to hit
