i want to start a hairdressing salon in australia... i was thinking of gold coast... which is the best commercial area in gold coast...

There are plenty of commercial areas on the Gold Coast... here's a few:

Surfers Paradise - tourist area, backpackers, international travellers

Main Beach - upmarket boutiques, restaurants, cafes

Bundall and Southport - offices, trades etc, main CBD areas for business

Broadbeach - family tourist area

Palm Beach, south coast areas - residents mainly surfers, locals etc

You're probably better off going for a visit and decide what type of clientelle you would like to cater to and then deciding...

Most hairdressers have strict appoints not walk in trade, so it needs be accessible not necessarily high profile.  I would look at around clothing outlets, even combine the two
