Where is the best couples resort in the caribean and how much should we pay for a week in november?

My wife and I want to go to an all inclusive couples resort in the Caribean. I have heard that you can do the whole trip for two for under 1500 USD.

Sandals is way too expensive. I have heard good things about RIU but I cannot find a price cheaper than 1500 per person.

We want to go in November 2008 for 5 days and 6 nights.

If not couples only, what place is the least Kiddie?

Well a Caribbean vacation is the best. And one of the best hidden gems in the Caribbean is Antigua and Barbuda. Antigua has the most weddings per capita in the WORLD! thats quite a claim and they have a Romance month - June. So its a great couples place. Below are a list of couples or not so kiddie hotels:

*Sandals Antigua is beautiful but will run you about - $2,895.20 for 7 nights.

*Jolly Beach Resort

* Anchorage Inn

*Blue Waters Antigua

And theres a lot more so do a Google search. Hope you enjoy your trip.

Go to the Sandals Resort in Negril or since you said sandals is too expensive then go to the Couples Resort in Jamaica.

Not sure about the $1500 total for the trip.  With airfare taking $800-$1100 that only leaves you $700 at best for the room and meals or $140 a night for 2.  Hard to get a great room, great activities, great food and great alcohol for $140 a night at best.  Suggest a budget of $1500 per person.

I have no idea on $1500 for two people. I find that for that price you'll be going to some less desirable places.

My suggestion would be one of the Lidos. SuperClubs run a surprise package where you don't know which of 3 resorts you'll end up at but you get a good discount. It will still be considerably more than $1500 but I don't really think that is realistic.
