*Edit: you may hear a lot of negative comments...but don't let that discourage you. Cubans are wonderful people and the friends you make will genuinely be for life. Many are able to move to another country and not always with the greatest of difficulty as many want to believe. There are many different ways of life and neighbourhoods in Cuba as you'll find in other parts of the world. And if some Cubans cannot leave (or choose not to leave), there's no need to punish them for being in a situation they're in. If they can't readily come visit us, we can go visit them.
