Where is the best place, close to Chicago IL (within say, 250 mi) to go white-water rafting? We like it fast!

I don't know anything within that distance, but the Arkansas river in Colorado is amazing!  Look up Arkansas River Runners.  They have great guides and a good safety record.  For the east coast look at the New River in West Virginia.  I havent been there yet, but want to go bad.
