I learnt at watergate bay in cornwall, Good prices and some of the best instructors. It is always good waves there for both begginers and more expierenced people. Only downside is the walk to the water, i advise watergate, but don't go to fistral is my other advice, too crowded and you should be good when you start there. hope this helps

Well, one of the best is Constantine Bay Surf Store in Constantine Bay, Cornwall in England.  It is hailed as one of the best surf stores in the country and provides rentals, lessons, accessories, clothing, etc.  Here is their # ([phone]).  Constantine Bay is also a fine place to surf as well.  Also, another fine place is Rise Surf School in Tynemouth.  They conduct lessons as well as camps.   A single 2 hour coaching session is only £25.  Which compared to the rest of the world, is quite a deal!  This includes gear, lessons, etc.
