Where is the best place for dessert in central London?

Can anyone recommend a great place(s) for dessert & coffee after a night out with friends or a date? Preferrably somewhere quite quiet in or near central London but any recommendation welcome. Thank you.

Try Patisserie Valerie on Dean Street in Soho.  I think there is a similar type of establishment on Old Compton Street in Soho (very near Dean Street).  Enjoy your evening out topped off by a delicious dessert.
