  1. sorry i have no idea i don't live anywhere near Italy i live in Canada and i have never been there

  2. i have never been there but I am a huge fan , i want to go to Volterra, Balogna, Venice, Milan, and Assisi and anywhere else in italy!

  3. Rome... they have the best italian food...

  4. There is definitely not one "best" place. But if you can go to only one place, it has to be Rome. All the history, you can't beat it.

Of course, further north and to the east, you could visit San Marino. While an independent country (totally enclosed within Italy), you get the benefit of having all that is Italy while also hitting another country. Beaches are close by, and 60 km up the road is Mirabilandia, a pretty neat amusement park.

  5. Venice. There is nowhere on earth like it. It is unique, no cars everyone travels by water.

  6. WOW what a TOUGH question.

Florence is great for art (and gelato).

Siena and San Gimgiano are great for historical ambience.

Rome is just plain great - history, art, food, shopping.  but you have to be ok with crowds and traffic.

Venice has the most ambience of any place in the universe, but don't go in the height of summer.

The Cinque Terra is just great for hanging out - best to go in October, after the crowds have left.

And there are a gazillion places I haven't seen yet that I want to (e.g. Positano, Capri, Sicily, Lake Como etc. etc.)
