I'm feeding a French guy with classic French taste for his birthday, I want the food items and wine/champagne to compliment each other, I want to serve courses in the proper french order, I want it to be high class and very frenchy. . . also, any ideas specific to regions in the southwest of France?

  1. Bring McDonald's instead.  French guys LOVE McDonalds!

But if you must serve south-west French food:

    1. chilled lambs brain

    2. spicy Frog legs

    3. pig intestines

    4. calves feet

    5. fried goat testicles

  2. Take the stairs down to the seine, right next to the Notre- Dam . It is a lovely pathway, with a continuous stream of boats so close it feels you can reach and touch them.  At the same time, there are corners around that you could hide from them all and have it all to yourself.

Do not forget, the cheese and more cheese.  Grapes, wine, and a freshly baked Parisian bread.

  3. There is a nice little park at the western tip of the Ile de la Cite (the island in the middle of the Seine where Notre Dame is).

Start with some pate, continue on with some cold roast chicken and a simple green salad, and finish off with a nice cheese. Bring a baguette to eat with all three.
