I'm going on a road trip this summer and plan to stop in Philadelphia. I'll be downtown in the historic part of Philly. Any ideas?!?

  1. Well you can go to any of the big places like Tony Luke's, Gino's, or Pat's

There are also some really good small places that you could go to...Bridesburg Pizza on Richmond Street is really good;  The Work's (they don't use Amorosso rolls; but still good); Fusco's at Frankford and St. Vincent (they use American Cheese Wiz, kind of messy but delicious).

  2. pats is without a doubt the best in town

  3. philadephia.

  4. Jim's is just gross, don't eat there.  Geno's or Pat's are your best bet.  I prefer Geno's.

  5. You must go to Pat's! It is delicious!

  6. Gino's and Pat's have become nothing but tourist traps.

Jim's and Tony Luke's are the best.

  7. Oh man!! I have been DYING for someone to ask this question. Definetly go to Genos(sp.?) its the best place in the entire world. i crave it like every week.

  8. Jim's Steaks on South Street are the absolute BEST!  Everytime I go, I don't eat breakfast and make sure I have enough room to eat 2!  You can't find 'em any better than at Jim's.  The line is long, but it is definitly worth the wait!

    have fun.

  9. Jim's on South Street is good.  I stay away from the whole Pat's vs. Geno's thing.  Tony Luke's at Front & Oregon is good, too!

  10. In the city Jims is definitely the best.  But if you are feeling adventurous, Donkeys in Camden, which is across the river from Philly are the best there are or ever will be.
