  1. don't know about the safest place... but the unsafest place to hide would be china

  2. Read an interesting new clip the other day which said NOT under any thing like not under a desk or table but instead BESIDE an object like a bed pr desk, in thy fetal position.  There is a space configuration that makes it safer beside the desk or bed rather than under it.  A safe triangle is created.  Of course if a mountain falls on you it really makes little difference but for regular people that is what the experts said.

  3. There is really nothing you can do here.

    I know.

Just pray that it passes quickly and that your OK.

  4. There is an earthquake taking place exactly where you are and all you can think about is acting?

  5. We have done this in Geology. If you cannot get access to outside then you must hide under a door frame. Or under your desk. One of the biggest killers in earthquakes is if heavy furniture falls on you so under your desk will prtect you of this.

  6. On the moon I would imagine.

  7. under a sturdy table. thats the safest place because things wont fall on you.

  8. Under a Staircase or Stairwell. Move all furniture that might fall on you. But, if you got enough time to run into an open field then go for it!

  9. under a sturdy table. or under the bed.

  10. outside...

  11. i think its in the door jam!!!

but hopefully if an earthquake occurs youl be very far away!

  12. in a hot air balloon!

  13. not in the earthquake zone! that's the best place!! lol

second best place, in the middle of a Field

third best place inbetween the door frame, it's pretty strong there.

  14. I would say underneath a door frame.

When you see demolished or damaged buildings, the door frames and the strong lintel above it are usually still standing.

  15. PROTECTION DURING EARTHQUAKES

The following are some of the important precaution to be observed to save our life during an earthquake. Even though we do not have fool proof system to fore warn earthquakes some of the changes in nature or in the behaviors of animals and birds may help to decide the situations.

    Before an earthquake.

Have a battery powered radio, flash light, and first aid kids in your house ,

Make sure every one knows where they are kept ,

Lean first aid; teach how to stop electric main and gas supply ,

Don’t keep heavy objects in high shelves ,

Fasten heavy appliances to the floor, and anchor heavy furniture to the walls ,

Plan for your family for reuniting after an earthquake if anybody separated ,

Urge your school teachers to discuss earthquake safety in the class rooms, and ask them to conduct drills ,

Find out your office has an emergency plan, know your responsibility at your works during an emergency .

    During an earthquake.

Stay calm if you are indoors, stay out if you are out of buildings. Many injuries occur as people enter or leave the buildings.

If you are indoors , stand against the a wall near the center of the building, or get under a sturdy table  keep some cushion on your head, Stay away from windows and outside doors, if you are in a high rise building stand against a support column.

If you are in outdoor  stay in the open place , keep away from over head electric wires. and bridges,

Don’t use open flames, if you are in a moving vehicle stop away from over bridges and stay inside the vehicle still earthquake stops.

    After an earthquake.

Check yourself and nearby people for injury, provide first aid,

    Check electric and gas connection,

Turn on your radio or T.V for emergency instructions, reduce the use of phone lines it may be required for conveying some important messages.

    Stay out of damaged buildings,

Wear chapels and gloves to protect against shattered glass and debris.

Stay away from beaches and water front areas where Tsunami could strike, even long after the shaking has stopped.

  16. in a private jet getting the h**l out of there or if you dont have any of them.

    away from any buildings lol

  17. During an earthquake, drop, cover and hold, anywhere you are, is the best thing to do. Drop to the ground before the earthquake drops you, as you won't be able to walk around much during the strong shaking. Take cover if possible underneath a desk or table or other strong sturdy. Cover your head with your hands and arms and hold onto what you're underneath as it might start to move, and you want to make sure you're moving with it. That is the drop, cover and hold method you ought to use during an earthquake.

If you're inside during an earthquake, some of the safest places you can be are underneath sturdy tables or desks that are going to protect you from things that might be falling during an earthquake. You also want to be away from windows or framed art that has glass that may be shattering during the earthquake. It's best to be towards the interior of a room and, again, underneath something. If not, just drop, cover and hold on and ride out the earthquake.

During an earthquake, if you're indoors, stay indoors. Don't try to go outside where things may be falling off your building. If you're outdoors, as long as you're not underneath power lines or other things that might be falling, you're pretty safe. Just get down low and ride out the earthquake.
