  1. I believe Fukuoka has been found to be the nicest city to live in Japan in recent survey. It's good sized city with nice suburbs.

Hokkaido in general is quite empty, though its winter is longer than rest of Japan. Okinawa is also relatively low in population (swells up in Summer due to tourism) and has nice relaxed way of life.

I would recommend living in suburbs of Yokohama - places like Hiyoshi, Kouhoku New Town etc; Yokohama city centre is pretty and has chic atmosphere, and if you want to visit bigger city then it's never more than 30 min on trains to Tokyo.

  2. Okinawa!  Surrounded by beaches on all sides, tropical weather, nice and beautiful people, and if you avoid Naha, it is not crowded at all.

  3. I think "kamakura" is the best.

Beautiful, non-crowded, sea, temples, decent people, convenient, refined and historical shops.

    Located kanagawa prefecture.

  4. I recommend a plateau and the mountains, there are a lot of beautiful places.

Please visit Karuizawa in Nagano-prefecture that the town which John Lennon loved.

  5. I really love Fukuoka, it's quite big in terms or urbanization, good landscape, a lot of mountais of course, and the people there, are too friendly, they still keep the countryside customs.

  6. Fukui Prefecture.

For many years in a row now, Fukui was voted the best prefecture to live in by Japanese people. Some people don't like Fukui because it is considered a rural area, but it is very beautiful and peaceful here.

Please look at the website and come and visit us in Fukui!
