  1. HAVE a boat cruise and enjoy a drink over lunch.

  2. not exactly on the river, but on the canal at little venice:

    The Waterway (020) 7266 3557

  3. Try the south bank, just along from Shakespeare's globe theatre. theres a couple of pubs there that have seating next to the river. Nice setting and they advertise food. Sorry cant remember what they are called though!

  4. Resisting the temptation to say 'on a boat', I'll suggest the Founder's Arms near Tate Modern, which has great views and good food.

  5. anywhere here in the wharf or as someone else said the bankside anchor is a great pub with outside seating at the front so you can watch the world go by with a pint

  6. The Anchor, Bankside

  7. camden lock

  8. St. Catherine's dock is a good place -- it's right alongside of Tower Bridge ( on the left if you are crossing the river from north to south ).

  9. The Riverside is a new pub in Vauxhall on the banks of the River Thames - the first to be located on this stretch of the river.

The decor and furnishings have a stylish, contemporary feel and the large glass front ensures the pub is light and airy throughout the day.

I'm not saying that its the best but it's one of my favorites because it is pretty much undiscovered by tourists and it is well worth a visit.
