  1. I think the reason why some players are so good (eg. Polynesians) is that they played it all through their growing up, most likely on Sundays after their church services.

But the best place is where you know what the local volleyball scene is like, and to be able to participate in it.  I am not competition grade material - but I don't mind playing up to that kind of standard when the players are up to that standard.  I play social most of the time - and while it is 'social' - some teams are competitive - rather than social, and as long as your team can play up to that standard, it is great fun.

I run an open volleyball evening - and it was nice when an Olympic quality brazilian player turned up one night, all dressed for the part - who displayed his impeccable skills of precise placement of the ball.  I'd guess he was a visitor to the city.  It is knowing where volleyball is played .. and if you can join in?  That is the hardest part.  I would like to see more volleyball played world wide - hopefully the Olympics will help raise the public profile for this fun and exciting sport.

  2. ON DA BEACH!!!!!!!!

  3. BRAZIL!!!

but why are you doing a project in the middle of the summer?! lol

  4. Southern California!!!!!!!!!! specifically when u train pre-season on sand courts and then practice with the team indoors. training on the sand gives u almost perfect balance

  5. California. They beach and indoor players are some of the best in the world, at all ages.

  6. There is no 1 paticular place, but my coach one time gave us a lesson on why hawaiian vball players are so good... Most hawaiians surf, and when you surf you have to make tiny adjustments and make sure to keep your position, and not fall off your board... It's just like vball, in vball you have to make tiny adjustments to get to the ball on time, to change positons, and to anticipate...its' almost common sense!lol well hope this helps!!! :-)
