  3. A caravan at Chapel St Leonards during the 60's. Dad used to dig big holes for us on the beach and cover our legs in sand and make mermaid tails.

We would play on the beach every day, a bucket and spade, a few shells and your imagination, thats all we needed to have a great time.

  10. Either Orlando or New York, for different reasons. Orlando was great to spend time with the kids, the weather was fab, we all had great fun! New York was a weekend break with hubby just before Christmas so it was snowy. We done the tourist things and shopped til we dropped! I'd go back to either of them in a minute!

  11. Crete.  Went there on honeymoon and it was fantastic.

  12. Ingoldmells 1961.  I was sixteen years old and allowed to go with my friend and stay in a caravan.  They were halcyon days and days of innocence.  I am blessed to have such a memory.

  13. Have you ever been to a medieval times? Its a restaurant that is set in the medieval times and you eat with your hands. There are winches that serve you and you watch a fencing match. It's alot of fun! They sell swords there.

  14. Istanbul, Turkey because Turkey has more Greek ruins than Greece, more Roman ruins than Italy and the art is magnificent and the culture is just different enough to broaden my horizons.  Still less expensive than most EU nations and the people are fantastic and multilingual (German a good second choice after English if you can't speak Turkish).
