My friend and I are thinking of going to college in Mexico, because we figure it would be a lot cheaper than going to college here.

  1. I've heard so many people say over the years that Guadalajara or Mexico city are the two best places to study.  Second is Monterrey and Oaxaca.

  2. If the idea is go to the college, Mexico City or Monterrey (Mexico).

  3. Monterrey hace good colleges/universities. Mexico City and Guadalajara are also good choices. If you want smaller cities, there are places like Puebla, Morelia, Guanajuato...

  4. The BEST choice for you would be "El Insituto Tecnológico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey" or "ITESM" (wich is called "Tec de Monterrey).

This college has their main campus in Monterrey city, but they have campi in many other cities. I didn't go to that college, but I can tell you that is the best, with international standards. Try a search for it, and contact them. You may even choose where to live from their campi. They can also help you to choose. In Mexico students try to stay near to their families, that's the reason to have many campi for mexican colleges.

  5. I lived and went to school in Queretaro, Mexico last summer and it is a GREAT city to live in! There are around 1 million people there and the night life is good. It is a clean, safe, and more well to do city than many in Mexico. It is about 3 hours North of Mexico City and is around a great area, which includes Guanajuato, San Miguel de Allende, and other places of interest within an hour or so.

The college there is Tecnologico de Monterey - Queretaro.

That being said Cuernavaca is suppose to be great too. Not sure if they have a college or not. Check out Monterrey (Tec de Monterey) and Guadalajara.

  6. it all depend on what u are planning to study.  The best university in Mexico and probably in Latin America is Tecnologico de Monterrey, it has several campus across the country, but the best are in Monterrey, Mexico City, and Chihuahua.  Another good choices in Mexico City are Universidad Iberoamericana, Uni. Anahuac.  In Guadalajara u have a couple of good universities, Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara and a Jesuit university that i don't recall its name.  In Puebla there is the Univesidad de las Americas.  Some people may include the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico but I wont because it is a public school full of politics, and u may end up losing a semester in one of it many strikes.  I personally recommend either Monterrey city or Guadalajara since there is alot of things to do for a college student.

  7. If you want City Life along with a nice college atmosphere then I would pick either Mexico city or Guadalajara.. If you want a more laid back area and great schools, the i would Pick Guanajuato,  Monterrey and Puebla...

    Take care..

  8. Guadalajara has great programs, great student life, and the prices are just about right. A lot of american students choose to go to guadalajara. My brother attended medical school in guadalajara and there were a lot of students from the US.  Mexico city would be a good option too. you need to consider a 20 million people city (mex city) to a 2 million people city (guadalajara). there are some other places. but those would be my top two. personally. Monterrey is good too, and Saltillo (because is not so hot).

Are you and your friends fluent in spanish ???
