Other than craigslist, you can try car forums such as clublexus and nicoclub.  Car enthusiasts will usually try to sell to their own kind before dumping it on craigslist or ebay.

I agree, Craigslist is a good place to look. If I were you I would not limit myself to just your local CL. I would do a regional search (within a couple hundred miles) and be patient! Do not jump on the first car you see. Find it and then scope out the prices , educate yourself. Once you feel you are on top of the price market, THEN be ready to pounce! It`s my experience that when the car on CL is really a deal...they go FAST. Good Luck, and don`t let it stress you out ENJOY, its a process, not an event!

Consider going to a car auction. You can get a great car there for way less than $10,000.
