  1. Per another best answer:

"You need to find a good local skate shop. They will hook you up with knowledge, as well as the products that you need. I would much rather support my local skate shop, and local skate scene instead of some website that couldn’t care less about skateboarding for any other reason but making money. I am lucky enough to live within 10 minutes of two skater-operated skate shops. You will learn more in 30 minutes of conversation at a local skate shop about good products, your local skate scene, and about good spots then you will ever learn about on some website.

I have complaints about just about all of the major skateboard websites. CCS is garbage, so is Zumiez. If a skate shop isn’t close at all, order from either Active Ride Shop or Tactics (links included). I know you said “preferably nothing online”, but just so you can get an idea on what you want.

I am also giving you a link to find a local skate shop. Remember, keep it local!

  13. depending on what kind of board

for begginers i would suggest a cheap one like at target or models

for a more experienced person you shoud try central sports or look online.

  14. Go to Amazon or Ebay.

  15. sports shop

  16. A store completely dedicated to selling skateboards.

Avoid stores that sell other things such as snowboards, surfboards, etc.

  17. west 49     tiki room      wot        ebay

  18. Whatever you do, don't go into a store and tell them you don't know what you're doing, you'll get ripped off. Try looking for boards you like from whatever dealer online to note their prices. You can look up local skate shops online, but seriously don't go in until you know what you should be paying. The last time I checked (which was almost 7 years ago) a complete board that you put together custom with a sales person was no more than $200, but I'm sure things have changed slightly.

  19. Walmart
