  1. I got ours thru Circuit City. But if I did it all over again, i would goto the stores, check out the displays and choice the make and model you like and buy it from Amazon.com. No tax, and sometimes you can get free shipping.

  2. Hi,

Whatever you do which is ultimately up to you.

I would not buy a tv  let alone a fridge at these stores:

futureshop ( see below and search BBB you'll see why, horrible customer service and if you need your equipment repaired or serviced, they will blame you for breaking it so they don't have to fix it. )

best buy (where do i begin? inexperience staff that thinks they know what they're doing, see above )

the brick (specially, horrible customer service and untrained so called sales people and no after sales services)

Leons ( horrible customer service and  no after sales services)

If you're in ontario, try :

Bleekers,  Audiotronics and indepently owned electronics stores.  They will price match and their services are much better. And always check them out with your local BBB.

Like I said above, it is your choice ultimately.

eta: almost forgot, forget sears as well. (refer to FS & BB)

  3. Future Shop, Visions, or The Brick

  4. I have found the best place to buy HDTVs is Amazon.com,

    1) they usually offer free 'white glove' delivery/shipping

    2) they have 2 years no payments if you qualify

    3) thier prices seem to be about 15% less than stores like Best Buy

    4) they allow other buyers to rate the tvs so you can see what is good (cnet.com is also a good place to see hdtv reviews)

I would recommend looking at cnet.com to find a tv in your price range that gets a good rating. See if Amazon has it in stock and print off the page and price. Go to your local Department stores and look at the tv to see what you think. You can also use the page you printed off from amazon and see if the department stores will match the price from amazon (it will atleast give you a starting point for negotiation).

For department stores, I think these are the best:

    1)American Tv

    2)Circuit City

    3)Best Buy

All three of these offer some type of financing options (but i dont think anything that is 3 years)

    Happy Shopping!
