Where is the best place to buy books?

I am familiar with ebay and amazon but they dont have the books i want.Which are The rats trilogy by James herbert. The problem is i want them on hardback!

  1. Waterstones is a good book shop, they may have it in already, if not will be able to get it for you. You could even try WH Smith, and be surprised how many they got in the bigger stores.

  4. ExLibris, Powells. The books are kind of old, so you're just going to have to cross your fingers a bit.

    ETA: So sorry. I got it wrong. I mean ALibris. The other poster is correct.

  6. Abebooks.com has used books but in many different conditions, many of their books are in excellent condition and you can search for your title in only ' hardcover'

    Also, Powelsbooks.com and Alibris.

    And just for the future, if you ever want to buy new books for an EXTREMELY cheap price, go to Overstock.com and find their book section. They have ALL of the books Amazon.com has but but 40-50% off. All of them are brand new books, but much cheaper. Plus their shipping is always 2.95 no matter what.
