i've tried many sites such as skyscanner and holiday supermarket, and airlines such as american and continental, but they are all so expensive - please help with decent sites that you've tried and used.

well depends on where you live...I've gotten good deals with priceline, but the last time I flew into Florida was last summer. Also, the earlier you book, the cheaper it will be

I got my round trip ticket last summer from Indy to Orlando for $121

kayak.com has been the best the most consistently.  I always use it.
