Preferably somewhere in or close to the west end, that has awesome deserts and is not that mainstream. Thanks!

  1. homefire is quite good thats in the westend ..... i really like kyoto (jasper/109) for sushi and east indian hawelli also downtown

  2. Mexico Lindo   Mayfield Plaza, 16604-109 Ave

it's a new restaurant, unfortunately in a strip mall. But it is 'authentic' mexican food, and for dessert they just have a couple things but those things are so goooood.

as per reviews it is not cheap though.  it is not a fancy place, but the food really does seem fresh and prepared just for you.

  3. cafe select close by the university...109 st i believe

  4. well i like mongolie grill

  5. definitely kozy corner . good family place too

  6. It's not on the west end but on the south side near QE park.  Culina Cafe.  It's cozy, not touristy, and the chef relies on upscale, organic ingredients.  Menu is international and foodies like this place.

Another spot is Hardware Grill.  On the goodridge block.  It's dinner only M-Sat.  more upscale and chic and pricey versus Culina.  athleticmindedtraveler.com is the resource
