Where is the best place to eat in Melbourne?

Hi All!

I would like to take my partner out of a good meal in Melbourne for his birthday. I refuse to let price be an issue, I just want to know the food is going to be great!

  2. Mate forget all those fancy fine dines. Take him to TO's bakery in footscray and have a sub. its the best sub in the whole world. yummmmmm. i miss footscray

  3. I'm a Sydney girl, but Flower Drum in Melbourne is supposed to be the best Cantonese food in Australia - a real dining experience!

  4. If you mean in CBD, try felt restaurant, at the Hotel Lindstrum, 26 Flinders St. 9668 1111.  We thought, great service and excellent meal.

    Have you also thought about a romantic picnic by the beach.  Sometimes, simple says so much more?

  5. you wont get into flour drum for months the waiting list is never ending, botanical in sth yarra is one of the best, and is semi casual, the food is a real eye opener, he will be very impressed

  6. I agree with the previous answer.  The Flower Drum Restaurant is Chinese/Cantonese food, good service, good prices to for the service and food that you get.  Its worth the drive into the CBD for your occasion.
