  1. Don't know about Manchester:

but is you're ever in the Furness Peninsula, I can recommend (and they don't know I'm doing this) The Lancastrian, Bigland Drive, Ulverston.

Their food is first-class and very good value!

I know, I have never had a bad meal there yet!

  2. A Few of my favourite places to eat out around Manchester:

Chinese: Didsbury Dim Sum, Didsbury or Top Wok, Faulkner St. Manchester

Curry: Lal Qila, Fallowfield (Curry Mile)

Spanish: La Casona, Heaton Moor Stockport

    French: Francs Resturant, Altrincham

  3. The p*ssy palace.. between Christies legs...

    lmfao!!!!  - Sorry couldnt resist!

  4. Livebait Albert Sq if you like fish

Tempopo if you like Thai/Eastern food also in Albert Sq

  5. Best place is to eat in out Manchester way, d-i-y..

  6. Sorry, but having lived in Manc for two years and now tasting all kinds of curry other places, I think Rusholme (the curry mile) serves mass produced rubbish. In all the surry houses I tried most of the dishes offered were the same, and the dishes between resteraunts did not differ much, a Korma in one resteraunt was the same as the next.

I found some of the best places to eat were in Didsbury. The lime tree is very good (but expensive) and many of the resteraunts in Didsbury village are highly recomended. Including the italian one called Fellicine (I'm not sure if thats right though). I never ever like spag bol cos I think it's a bit made with rubbish and not made bery good at that, but I thought it tasted fantastic there.

  7. The Greek restaurant in Fallowfield - unbeatable. Chris runs it.

  8. The casa espana on wilmslow rd if its still there

  9. The Yang Sing on Princess Street for the best Chinese in town.  Talk to the staff to get exactly what you want and ask for a table downstairs.

Cachumba on Burton Road for great, cheap, international curries with loads of veg dishes.

Rhubarb on Burton Road, for very good quality, imaginative (but not 'fancy') modern British food - a bit loud there though.

Al Faisal Tandoori on Thomas Street in the Nothern Quarter for really delicious cheap as chapatis basic Indian food - only open 'till 7pm.  The chicken tikka is divine!  I go for lunch there nearly every Saturday.

Plaisir du Chocolat in Harvey Nicholls for divine hot chocolate, cakes, teas, champagnes and whiskeys.  Seriously worth a visit.  Next to the Chanel counter on Ground Floor.

Cafe Istanbul - long established Turkish on Bridge Street.  Massive portions, noisy, delicious.

    I'm hungry now!

    Have a good meal.

  10. Wilmslow Rd in Rusholme - the curry mile is a good bet.

The food at the Malmaison is also very good if you have plenty of cash

  11. To eat out who?

  12. China town in city center is good. or the curry mile brilliant.
