Where is the best place to find a good psychologist and a family counselor?

My parent's won't help me ..and about the family counselor,the don't know.

Due to the dysfunctional relationship between my parents, nothing will get done therefore it's my responsibility to do it myself and at 17 allot is possible to do without having a person look at you like a child.

I need to know where I can find a person that will help me and not just tell my some rubbish and come in again so they will have more money. I also need to know how to understand if the family counselor knows what they are doing. I can only talk my parents into doing this..not they ( I speak from experience)

Have you tried going to the hospital; many have psychiatric facilities and some are community oriented so you can feel at one with the many. If that seems a little medicinal you could look at the local higher eduction like the college or university. Some operate within religious notions and some do not. I guess you  could try writing it down and then taking it in your self, that way you have a hard copy that does your talking for you.

They say we are all children before God, but God won`t be there to look over your shoulder or give instruction.
