Where is the best place to find an emplyer in Canada willing to hire an American and help with the permits?

I am a very skilled carpenter, and with the demand in BC for construction workers, I am wondering how easy is it to obtain information on the employers willing to go through the permit process??

So long as you don't have a criminal record, most employers would help you with permits. I can't remark much about BC, since I live in Ontario, but I come from a family of Portuguese immigrant construction workers and all of the construction  companies here helped friends and relatives get the immigration papers and other paperwork necessary to work and live here permanently because they were skilled.

For an English-speaking American, it should be a breeze. I would suggest taking a browse through the province of BC's website or even the Government of Canada's website for more information and even shoot them an e-mail, as they'd give you way more credible information than you can find on Yahoo Answers.
