  1. Air only--farechase.com

  2. Depends on where you are flying from.  The site below has flights for as low as $10.00 from Austin, Tx to Monterrey.

  3. the cheapest airline in mexico is Lineas Azteca, you can fly in them, the airplanes aren't the best though, i flew in one just cause i wanted to save and it vibrated weird all the time, but if you are not afraid of flying then you should be fine.

Also I think Volaris, since it's a new one should have great deals...

  4. Wow, from England!? I would look for a cheap flight to the US. Usually American Airlines or Delta have good deals. If you do get a Delta flight, the cheapest destination in the US will be Atlanta. From there, you can get the bus down to Monterrey. Just one thing: prepare yourself for quite the cultural experience. Haha. It is probably going to take you about a day to get to Monterrey, but crossing the border by plane is the expensive part so you will save quite a bit of money by taking the bus. Oh, and one more thing, I would buy my bus ticket with Greyhound but do not, and I repeat do not, buy your bus ticket online. The schedule is all messed up online so wait till you hit ground to get your ticket at the counter. In Mexico, Estrella Blanca is the common bus line to take but it really depends on where you want to go in Mexico.

Also, I think you can get really cheap flights to New York. If you do get to New York, you can get a cheap flight to a city close to the border. Maybe Houston and then take the bus from there. Or you can always take the bus from New York all the way south of the border, up to you. Haha.

Once you're in Monterrey, you can keep taking the bus if you have the time and money to see everything in between Monterrey and Cancun. If you just want to skip to the good parts, you can find really cheap flights with local discount airlines (Volaris, Aviacsa, Click, etc.). This airlines are like traveling with easyjet in Europe. Haha.

Hope this info helps and best of luck :)

  5. hi I live in England, I am Mexican and I just have a question what do you want to go to Monterrey? I mean for a tourist there is  not too much to see, I would suggest to go to Guadalajara and then go down to Mexico City (of course seeing other stuffs in the way) and then go Puebla, Oaxaca, Campeche, Chiapas, Yucatán and Quintana Roo. Anyways it is not my business to know why Monterrey, but I think the best would be to take a cheap flight to US, Houston I think will be the best and from there take the flight to Monterrey, I think to fly to Monterrey worth it cos, the buses from the States to Mexico are not very comfortable and its not as far but is not as close either.

Other suggestion could be once in Mexico wherever fly in the low cost airlines that are good in my opinion, I think that are better than bemybaby and all those. Volaris and Interjet if you buy in advance the flights are even cheaper than the buses (sometimes).

Other suggestion fly England - Cancun (round trip) stay in Cancun first move to wherever in Mexico and when you reach Monterrey take a cheap flight (volaris, interjet) to Cancun and go back the UK. I think that is the cheapest solution.
