I have hardwood floors and I've been putting off getting area rugs b/c they are sooo expensive. I would at least like one large one for the dining room, but I want to get the best price. Any ideas?

  1. Big Lots (or Pic N Save, Ocean State Job Lots, etc.) Any kind of discount/overstocks store is a good bet.

Also, I've gotten lucky at Home Depot.

Also try freecycle.org. You might get one for free!

  2. home Depot, Walmart are probably the cheapest.

  3. buying directly from a rug making country would bring down your cost by a ton....

try www.therugfactory.in   these guys are india based

  4. www.homedecorators.com has a large selection at a wide variety of price points, weaves and construction.  Also now that Home Depot bought them, they often offer free financing and coupons for discounts.

  5. Home Depot or Lowes

  6. overstock.com

The quality, selection and prices here are the best that I have found anywhere for rugs.

  7. Ikea, Target, or Walmart. Also, try and look online...but you may be like me and I like to see and feel stuff like that before I buy it.
