  1. you'll have to be more specific about where you would like to travel too. I plan on going skiing in  Quebec in April because I really enjoy the spring skiing there as well as the nightlife. You'll also have to specify when in April you wish to go. There are a few places you can ski throughout April and then some parts of the country where skiing on April 30th just isn't going to happen

If you're open for anything come on out to Mt Tremblant for the spring party. "Telus Spin" days 1st week in April and stick around for the caribou splash April 12 and the Taffy Pull April 13 which celebrates the end of another great ski season

ps: the best place for a beginner to go skiing for the 1st time is somewhere with great ambiance and nightlife. As much as I hate to admit this we all teach the same learn to ski program so in that sense one hill is the same as another...pick your resort by how much fun you'll have after the skiing is done

  2. skiing  out west is always best, try utah suchj resorts to try aredeer valley, park city, the canyons, or alta or snow bird, colorado try vail, beaver creek, keystone, breckenridgr, or copper, all resorts have nice wide open terrian avaivable for all skiing abilities , double check  on the weather conditions, it may vary from year to year, also you may want to look into a package where it includes your lift ticket along with a lesson, or two, it will be worth your while, remeber to dress in layers , so you can peel the clothing off if need be, esp skiing in april, dont be surprised to see people who are dye hard skiers and boarders in shorts, t-shirt, men shirtless and woman even in bikinis, your a great friend so have fun

  3. It depends on were you live.

  4. it depends where you live i live in Nevada city California so i go skiing at the ski resorts up here.

you don't want to go to a place where a lot of people go it just isn't as fun so i would go to Donner ski ranch its right across the street from sugar bowl but no one ever goes there so you practically own the whole resort! and it is much cheaper. another good one is soda springs. it is near boreal. (DO NOT GO TO BOREAL!!) unless you want to go night skiing.

as for the season, most ski resorts close the 1st of April. so unless they get a good snow this year they will be closed by then.

also if you go to the smaller resorts you can get 1 on 1 lessons. with big resorts your in a group and you don't get as much attion.

but like i said before, it depends where you live, like if you live in new york, i doubt you would fly out here to California just to go skiing.

so i would just stick with the smaller resorts.

if you have any questions you can email me at ceader.vill@yahoo.com or shasta@theunioun.net

good luck! and i hope you have fun!!

  5. ski cooper is were i learned and i think its the best place they have exelent teachers and there CHEAP

  6. Usa and canada is usally good for beginners there is also no language barrier france is good witha long season but do not go to an esf skischool use the alternative as the esf instructors must be good skiers (all instructors are) but they are not tested on their teaching ability italy is good also and spain if yit's good its very good when it's not you wont be skiing but in april go high or go very north caus low resorts will be closed or if you have money skandavna also the runs in easten urope are very good for beginners hope this helps and have a good time

  7. Early April skiing is still good on many places. I would say by late April things are getting a little sketchy particularly in the northeast.
