Depends on your budget but there is a fantastic place called Jessica's in Birmingham it is just off the hagley road but it also has a web site. I took my partner there for a birthday present.

The food was amazing, I think it has a Michelin star rating. The setting was beautiful very romantic and the staff were superb. Cost for two with wine for 3 courses approx £150 but if you can afford it then it is worth every penny.

Try a little further afield to the southern part of Birmingham, just beyond Solihull 'The Boot' and 'The Orange Tree (see web links below). They are sumptuously gorgeous. Romantic, low lit, very friendly, wonderful service, decor is well thought out and the food is sublime!
