Hi, I'm hoping to go away for a week this February in Europe but where will there be guaranteed thick snow? I'm not bothered about skiing or activities, more a romantic log cabin and a bit of relaxation. Any recommendations would be great!

  1. norway

  2. Well, Scandinavia is a sure bet.  Norway and Sweden are lovely, spotlessly clean, and very reasonable budget-wise.  However, Finland is the ultimate winter experience. (Helsinki is a bit boring though.)  There are little spas everywhere and tons of rustic retreats.  The landscape is breathtaking.  There is also guaranteed to be snow, lots of it.  (The Alps, Swiss, Austrian, Italian, or French are good too, but the prices are much higher and many resorts/hotels are geared toward skiers.)  Check out this website.  It may go you some ideas.
