  1. Sol Melia in Rio Grande, PR

  2. Hello. Puerto Rico is a beautiful place. The only all inclusive hotel was the Paradisus(Gran Melia) but I believe it is no longer all-inclusive. Anyway there are alot of nice places to stay in PR, it just depends on what you like really. And if you want to see alot of places, then you can rent a car & drive. You can go anywhere on the island within a few hours drive.

SAN JUAN-  is the biggest city in PR. This is also where you will find the most tourists & hotels. There are tons of restaraunts, shopping, nightlife, casinos & sights. Old San Juan is a very beautiful old city with cobblestone streets & spanish colonial architecture. You can see El Morro Fort & the San Juan Cathedral & many other historical sights. There are beaches in San Juan, they aren't the best in PR though, but they are decent. Isla Verde is like Miami beach in a way.

VIEQUES & CULEBRA ISLANDS- These islands are very quiet & relaxing with the most gorgeous white sand beaches & crystal clear waters. There are a few bars/restaraunts & vacation homes & small Inns. Also Vieques has a bioluminescent bay called Mosquito bay that glows in the dark, its amazing. PR has 3 of only 5-6 worldwide!

EAST COAST of PR-  The east coast has Fajardo, Rio Mar & Luquillo.  Fajardo is a nice area with lots of boats & fishing. & watersports. They also have a bioluminesent Lagoon called Las Croabas. This is also where you cacth the ferry to Vieques & Culebra. There are also small cays like Palominito. Rio Mar is where El Yunque rainforest is. You can hike & swim in waterfalls. Luquillo has a nice beach, calm with golden sands. If you stay in San Juan its only 45 mins to visit these places.

WEST COAST of PR- Rincon, Aguadilla & other towns on the west coast are known for great Surfing & whale watching in the winter & snorkelling in the summer. There are amber & gold colored sand beaches & beautiful sunsets. This area is known as Porta del Sol to the locals & many vacation here.

PONCE & SOUTH- Ponce is another city of PR. It almost has  a European feel. You will see museums & shops & plazas. There is Seralles Castle & The Old Fire Station. There is Guanica dry forest with cacti. There is Gilligan's Island & Caja de Muertos with nice white sand beaches & snorkelling.

Also the central area is nice & relaxing with beautiful mountain views. The north coast has Dorado, a tourist town. You can see Arecibo Telescope, Camuy Caves & more.  ENJOY PR :)

  3. Soni beach in the municipal island of Culebra, you will not want to leave the peace and tranquility of the place.

  4. A couple of years ago I went on a cruise that started at San Juan and traveled to Aruba, St. Thomas, and Dominica. I do recommend going there.

  5. If you are interested in not just hanging -out in the tourist area of San Juan, I will recommend going around the entire island

and stop for a meal at different locations.

I had travel the entire island in one day having lunch in the northwest part of the island (Aguadilla- good fish) and dinner

in the south (Ponce - The Pearl of the South).

If you are a surfer the beaches in Isabela (north-west) are now

    world famous amoung surfers.

You could also make arrangements to stay 1 or 2 nights in

another town besides the tourist hub of San Juan.

Ponce is a beautiful city and faces the caribeean ocean.

The web is full of information about each town in the island.

In old San Juan you must have breakfast and/or lunch at

"La Bombonera" and dinner at "La Mayorquina". Two of

    the favorite places for locals.

Remember Puerto Rico is part of the USA

Any USA citizens can go in and out without the visa problems facing non-citizens.

For the other islands of the careebean you will need a visa.

    Good Luck and Have Fun

  6. Leningrad= dirty communist god hating trash

  7. to live, its better to go some where quiet and cozy.

vieques, culebra, or maybe the country side in the middle of the island. if u like the beach, go to the western part of the island. i wont recommend the north part of the island, its too crowded and its the metro area, high rate crimes, but if u like NY u will like san juan, bayamon or the city part. it all depends on ur budget and lifestyle preference.

oh, and for those who say PR its ghetto, are obviously jealous of puerto ricans because of our political status. people only proof themselves how ghetto they are by their actions and the way to express themselves, that says it all.

  8. The only all inclusive hotel in PR is Paradisus and it is VERY expensive.  Where to go? that depends on what you are looking for in your vacation and your budget.
