  1. Try the Caribbean. Royal caribbean offers really good itineraries.

  2. I would suggest Royal Caribbean too.

If you book last minute you can save big bucks (but flights might be hard to get).  Just know you are still in hurricane season and prepare yourself if you end up not going to the destinations because they have to avoid the storm.

This site is really good for everything cruising. They also have boards with seasoned cruisers who know the ins and outs of the itineraries and different cruise lines and ships. I found it very helpful for a cruise to Alaska and the Bahamas.

I would suggest a Royal Caribbean itinerary that goes to an island for a specific beach day. These would be either Labadee or CocoCay.

ADD ON: Just saw you added some more info. What about a round trip Hawaii cruise? I know Royal Caribbean offers them but I'm not sure about the price. You can check out their website. You could also try a Panama Canal cruise.

  3. Well the fact is, it is hurricane season all over the northern hemisphere.  It is just that hurricanes in Asia are called typhoons.  If you rule out the Caribbean, there is Europe, but that would be tight on your budget.  That basically leaves Hawaii.

You can fly to Hawaii, and take a one week cruise on one of the two Norwegian ships (Pride of Aloha and Pride of America).  Or you could fly to Hawaii and stay at a land based hotel.  Hawaii has lots of beaches on all of its islands.  However, if you want to see all of the islands in one week, without spending half your vacation in the airport, a cruise is the way to go.

Another option is to cruise to Hawaii from the mainland.  The one way cruises in October leave from Vancouver and spend the first five days at sea.  The round trip cruises from the mainland leave from Los Angeles and San Diego and spend the first four and last four days at sea.  In either case, you will get a chance to visit several of Hawaii's great beaches.

You might also want to reconsider the Caribbean.  While it is true that it is hurricane season, it is also true that the ships can move.  So if the ship is scheduled to go where a hurricane is headed, then the ship will simply go somewhere else (ever see a land based hotel move out of a hurricane's path?).  The net result is, you will still get some great beach time, it just might not be on the same beaches you originally planned for.

  4. The best Places and beaches to go are in Easter Caribbean,

Cozumel, Playa Del Carmen is great. You can eat by the beach also you can hire typical Mexican players singing rancheras and great Mexican food. The beach is great blue warm and clean.

  5. I cruise Carnival every october...I'm 26.  I live in Fl...if you want beaches in October you risk hurricanes anywhere.  I personally have never had a problem with a ship and a storm.  October is later in hurricane season and "usually" not as active.  I recently did the eastern Carribean on Carnival for 8night for $500 on board I spent approx $300 and in ports on souveniers perhaps $100 so for $900 for 1 person I had a great time for 8nights and some gorgeous beaches.

  7. How many days?  Do you have a budget?

    Best of luck.

  8. I would suggest maybe the Bahamas or Eastern Caribbean. Do not worry too much about hurricane season, they are possible almost year round, and rarely effect too many cruises. Several of the cruise lines now have private islands that you can go to for a day and hang out on the beach, most of these are in the Caribbean.
