Where is the best place to go on holiday in southern France with a 21 months old girl?

We want nice sandy beach but difficult to decide where to go. Can anyone tell us?

  1. On Mediterranean sea, especially the Riviera (around Nice and Cannes) beaches are small with few sand (because no marea) but more little stones and there are many people in July and August. For a baby it's not very comfortable.

    I don't know beaches around Perpignan, but it's known to be well.

    I like more the south west coast in the Landes, with big trees. You can look around Moliet and Vieux Boucau.

    Beaches are very large, some are dangerous but there is lot of sand. If the weather is very hot, this sun is easier to support because there is wind from Atlantic ocean.

    You have many good things to eat and to drink there (foie gras and some alcool...cognac...)
