I know from experience that a trip to the Canary Islands can be h**l. If the weather gets too hot, children tend to start crying, and you don't want that.

I would look for a country with a modest climate, not too hot in the summer. Maybe something like Scandinavia, the Baltic States, Germany, Czech, Austria or the Netherlands.
