Where is the best place to go on vacation with a male teen?

its my son and we have never been on vacation because when i was raising him I could never get time off or we never had enough money..so now hes bigger and the fun things i would have loved to do then are way to young for him now .....so now what????we still dont have a lot of money ,but we have enough for something fun, we live in the central US and I dont like to fly so.....please help!! thanks...

Well, it kinda depends on what things your son might like doing. If he's an outdoorsy person, I'd suggest going to a National Park/ Forest. Also, if you're closer to Utah there's an amusement park there- it's called Lagoon. They have really awesome roller coasters there. Barring that, maybe there's something local around. Jump on the internet and type in the name of your town (or a close-by big city) and tourist in a search engine like Google or Yahoo. Sometimes you can find sites that are aimed at tourists that act as guides around the city. Hope you guys have fun, whatever you do.

See what his interests are- center a trip around that,  If he likes racing sports go to a NASCAR track and see if you can set up a tour during the off season.  They usually don't mind because they aren't catering to big stars.

Try a cruise, you can drive to the nearest port and a boat will have other teens for him to meet while you have separate time and it has interests that you will both enjoy individually and together.  Plus it's mostly all inclusive, so you can have fantastic food, service and entertainment along with all the great ports of call.

Let him decide where he wants to go. There are fun things in Rockford,Ill Big water park. Or go to Spring Field there are lot of thongs to do there. And they have a big water Park, Drive in. Go up to stave Rock, they build a real nice water  hotel up there, an there is a park there with rides too.Go to vacation Ill, an look there.
